Who it is for
The reasons for a hymenoplasty are personal; they do not need to be justified. Dr Gatri receives every request with the same attention: listening, examination, full information on the procedure, its recovery and its limits. The decision is then made, after a reflection period. No information is shared with any third party.
The framework
French law prohibits any physician from issuing a virginity certificate (Article 225-4-11 of the French Penal Code, law of 24 August 2021): the practice issues none, and requests none. Hymenoplasty, for its part, is a lawful surgical procedure, performed at the free request of the adult patient, after information and a reflection period.
The procedure
The procedure takes place at the Clinique de la Muette (Paris 16th), under general anesthesia. As for any surgery, an electronically signed quotation comes before the operating room is booked.

The words
Hymenoplasty, hymenorrhaphy, hymen repair or hymen reconstruction refer to the same procedure. It is part of intimate surgery, along with labiaplasty, perineoplasty and vaginal tightening.
Fees
A hymenoplasty is outside the official schedule: it is not reimbursed, it is subject to VAT, and French law requires a written quotation and a fifteen-day reflection period (Article L.6322-2 of the Public Health Code). Fees are set out in the quotation; clinic charges and the anesthetist's fees are settled directly with the Clinique de la Muette.
