Routine gynecological (gynaecological) care, screening, contraception and everyday concerns — periods, discharge, pain — at every stage of life. At the practice, 42 avenue Mozart, two OB-GYNs provide this care: Dr Chaima GATRI and Dr Amel MAHDHI-BASLI. Pelvic ultrasound is performed on site, during the consultation. When to see us
You see a gynecologist for regular follow-up, without waiting for a problem — and as soon as something bothers you. These are the most frequent reasons for a medical gynecology consultation.
One concern does not rule out the others: the consultation covers everything on your mind, and your follow-up is built over time, with the same physician.
The consultation
The consultation begins with a conversation: the reason for your visit, your personal and family history, your contraception, your periods, your plans. Then comes the gynecological examination, adapted to your situation and explained step by step; the screening smear test is taken when it is due. When useful, a pelvic ultrasound is performed at the same time, at the practice, on the GE Voluson Expert 22 ultrasound system: the images are displayed on the room's screen and the result is explained to you immediately. The consultation ends with the prescriptions — tests, treatment, contraception — and the explanations that go with them; the printed report of every examination performed at the practice — ultrasound, colposcopy, hysteroscopy — is given to you.
On Doctolib, you choose “First gynecology consultation” or “Gynecology follow-up consultation”, or the specific reason for your visit — smear test, pelvic ultrasound, contraception, IUD insertion or removal. The practice also sees gynecological emergencies by appointment: the “Urgence gynécologique” reason exists on Doctolib, and the secretariat tells you what Dr Gatri's schedule allows; the practice's own patients are given priority. An emergency that cannot wait, or that occurs at night, is a matter for the emergency services (call 15): it is not what the practice is for.

Removal of a small tissue sample from the cervix for analysis.
Examination of the cervix offered after an abnormal smear test or for HPV monitoring. The practice is equipped with the DYSIS Ultra digital colposcope, which assists the physician with real-time mapping of the cervix and keeps visual documentation of the examination. It is generally well tolerated and performed during the consultation; if a biopsy is needed, it is taken at the same time. Dedicated page: Colposcopy.
Laser vaporisation of precancerous cervical lesions identified during colposcopy. The procedure is performed at the practice, under colposcopic guidance, without hospitalisation. A follow-up consultation is scheduled to check healing and organise surveillance. Dedicated page: Colposcopy.
Laser vaporisation of vulvar lesions, particularly genital warts (condylomas). Treatment is performed at the practice, during consultation, using the Fotona laser: one session; a second one if needed, decided at the check-up.

Frequently asked questions
Regular follow-up, generally once a year, is the time to take stock: examination, contraception, screening. The smear test follows the recommended schedule and is not repeated at every visit. Between two appointments, a new concern justifies a consultation without waiting.
There is no set age. The first consultation is booked when a question arises — painful periods, contraception, intimate discomfort — often in adolescence or at the start of sexual life. It begins with a conversation, and the examination is adapted to your age and to what you ask for. Cervical cancer screening, for its part, starts at twenty-five.
No. Gynecologists have direct access within the French coordinated care pathway: you book without going through your general practitioner for gynecological follow-up, contraception and screening, and the consultation remains partly covered by the French health insurance, like any consultation at the practice.
Yes. Wagram Clinic is a group practice in which each physician works independently: appointments are booked with a specific physician, Dr Gatri or Dr Mahdhi-Basli, and your follow-up continues with her. The Team page introduces the physicians.
It comes after the conversation, and each step is explained to you before it is done: examination of the vulva, speculum examination to see the cervix and take the smear test if it is due, then a vaginal examination to assess the uterus and ovaries; a pelvic ultrasound completes the examination when useful. It takes a few minutes, is adapted to your situation — age, history, apprehension — and stops whenever you ask.
Yes. The practice's physicians see patients in English: the consultation is held in English or French, as you prefer.

The consultation and the procedures performed at the practice — smear test, pelvic ultrasound, colposcopy, diagnostic hysteroscopy, IUD or implant insertion — are partly covered by the French health insurance (Assurance maladie). The practice applies direct billing to the French national health insurance (tiers payant): with an up-to-date carte Vitale, you do not pay that part upfront. What remains payable by you includes the excess fee (dépassement d'honoraires), which may be reimbursed by your complementary insurer (mutuelle), depending on your policy.
